A. Gerald Beswick, age 93, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

Funeral services were held 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Renken officiating. Interment followed in Winchester Cemetery.

A. Gerald Beswick was born December 5, 1913 in Stockport, IA to Worthy Dwight and Bessie Maud (Kisling) Beswick. He graduated from Stockport High School. Gerald was united in marriage with Esther Eileen Canaday on April 27, 1946 in Fairfield, IA. She preceded him in death on July 25, 2005. They are the parents of Joyce and Jerry.

Gerald was a farmer in the Stockport Community and was a member of Stockport Lions Club.

He is survived by his children and their families: Joyce (George) Ackerman of Mt. Vernon, IA, and Jerry Beswick of Stockport, IA. Gerald has two grandchildren: Jessica Kilgore and Janelle Beswick.

He was preceded in death by his parent, wife, and two brothers: Gene and Harold Beswick.
