Adrian Wayne Southern

Adrian Wayne Southern, age 62 of Ollie, passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 at the VA Hospital, Iowa City, IA.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M Wednesday November 5, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Following the service the body will be cremated and burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Adrian was born on March 25, 1952 in Newton, KS to Edward J. and Audrey Marie (McCulloch) Southern. He married Rebecca O. Ano on May 20, 2006.

Adrian served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and Desert Storm. He has lived in Ollie since 2008. Adrian worked for Panama Trucking as a truck driver for 15 years. He enjoyed going for drives whether it be in his truck or motorcycle. Adrian liked to play computer games and watch wrestling.

Adrian is survived by his wife, Rebecca O. Ano- Southern; 5 children, A. Wayne Southern II of Fort Madison, IA, James Southern of New Caney, TX, Christopher Southern of Sacramento, CA, Anthony Southern of Sioux Falls, SD and Jaimye (James) Kent of Fairfield, IA; 14 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 sister, Teri A. Regier of Newton, KS.

He was preceded by death by his parents, Edward and Audrey Southern; 1 brother Edward “Eddie” Charles Southern; 1 sister Louise J. Franklin; and 1 Grandson, Thailer Southern.
