Aletha "Marie" Hunerdosse

June 17, 1919 — February 7, 2015

Aletha “Marie” Hunerdosse, age 95, of Fairfield passed away February 7, 2015 at Jefferson County Health Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday February 11, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Joseph Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation for Family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary or Lions Club. Cards and memorials can be sent to: 503 East Adams, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Marie was born June 17, 1919 to George William and Aletha Jane (Dimit) Palmer in Newburg, Iowa. She married Ivan Ralph Hunerdosse on September 1, 1941 at her parents house in Newburg, Iowa. Ivan died September 15, 2001.

Marie had spent most of her life in the Fairfield Community. She was a homemaker. Marie’s hobbies and interests included: American Legion Auxiliary, Gray Ladies (Hospital Volunteers), Puzzles, reading, she bowled for many years, an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan for both Basketball and Football, watching Cardinal baseball, a member of First Presbyterian Church, and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Marie is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter, William Hunerdosse, Robert (Betty) Hunerdosse, Ronald (Linda) Hunerdosse, and Janet Hunerdosse all of Fairfield, Iowa; 7 grandchildren, Richard Hunerdosse, Joe (Allison) Hunerdosse, Kari Hunerdosse, Erin (Mike) Bryant, Eric Hunerdosse, Theresa Morales, Julie McKay; 4 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; and 2 great great step grandchildren.

Marie was preceded by her parents; 3 brothers, Kenneth, Anson, Virgil; one sister Ethel Christine in Infancy; and grandson Billy Hunerdosse.
