Aletha Wilson

Aletha Wilson, age 88, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the Mitchellville Care Center in Mitchellville, Iowa.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Her body has been cremated.

Aletha Wilson was born December 19, 1917 in Moline, IL, the daughter of William George and Maggie (Darnil) Williams. She married Bernard Wilson on August 17, 1935 in Memphis, MO. They were the parents of four children: Bernard, Shirlane, George and Tom. Bernard passed away November of 1998.

Aletha was a resident of the Fairfield community for over 72 years where she was employed at the Jefferson County Hospital in the hospital laundry before her retirement.

Aletha is survived by her children and their families: Bernard Wilson of Newton, IA, Shirlane Smith of Hedrick, IA, George Wilson of Colfax, IA and Tom Wilson of Fairfield, IA. Aletha was grandmother to seven and has eleven great-grandchildren.

Aletha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and all her siblings.
