Alfred R. Kirkbride

Alfred R. Kirkbride, age 88 of Fairfield, passed away January 6, 2011 at his home.

There are no services planned and the body has been cremated. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri at a later date. Behner Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Alfred was born May 2, 1922 in Green City, Missouri to George and Julia Banner Kirkbride.

He has lived in the community since 1940. He had served in the US Air Force and been a supervisor of maintenance for 12 years at Crane Manufacturing.

Alfred is survived by 4 sons: George Kirkbride of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, Alfred L. Kirkbride of Tucson, Arizona, Randy Kirkbrideof Ankeny, Iowa and Dickie Kirkbride of Washington, Iowa, 1 daughter: Mickie Jacovson of Sant Point, Idaho, 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Ira and Alva and 1 sister: Fern.
