Amanda Person

Amanda Lynn Person, 41, a resident of Fairfield, passed away alongside her husband, Charles, as the result of an automobile accident in Washington County, Iowa. 

A Celebration of Life for Amanda and Charles will be held at a later date at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Behner Funeral Home, 203 S. Main St. Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Amanda was born July 21, 1983 in Fairfield. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 2002 and married Charles Person, August 31, 2006.

Amanda worked in the laundry and housekeeping departments with Prestige Care Center and Park View Nursing Home. She had also worked for Burger King, McDonald’s and Wal-Mart. Amanda enjoyed watching wrestling, going bowling, crafts, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved spending time with her family, holiday gatherings and cookouts.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Victor and Taylor Person; parents, Veronica Theresa and Douglas Newbold; and her sister, Angela Denny, all of Fairfield.
