Andreya Aj Schneider

Andreya (Aj) Schneider passed away unexpectedly June 30, 2023.

Services will be held Friday, July 28th at 11am at Eben Israel Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Andreya graduated from Boston University with a masters in psychology and a bachelors in journalism from Indiana University. She had the privilege of being one of the last people to interview Janis Joplin. She was a school counselor for Grant Wood AEA for over 30 years, working with children of all ages. She lived her life fully with the motto of “lighten up”. She is survived by: her brother Ron, his daughters Emily and Jessica, her younger brother, Jeff, his wife Sharon, and their sons, Johnny and his wife Rosemary, and Travis. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Temple Judah in her name. Until we meet again in the next life.
