Anita “Pearl” Tygart, 90 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Jefferson County Health Center.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00pm- 7:00pm, Friday, August 7, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA.
Graveside service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

Pearl Tygart was born January 27, 1925 near Farson, Iowa, Wapello County. Daughter of Ray Oren and Anna Frances Sanchez Wiggins. Pearl was a member of the Farson Baptist Church and Graduate of Farson High School.
Pearl married James L. Tygart in Ottumwa on March 25, 1944. He died on September 30, 1986. Pearl moved to Fairfield, Iowa in March of 1951. Pearl was a long time employee of Perry Clothing. She loved to sew, quilt, play bingo, volunteered at the Bargin Box and enjoyed being with her family and friends. Pearl was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and keep Young Club and the Friendship Force.
Pearl is survived by her two children, a son, Richard (Alicia) Tygart of Fairfield and a daughter, Ginny Ann Tygart of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Dawn Bechtel and Anthony Ridgeway; six great grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Jeanne Elder of Ottumwa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and five sisters.
