Anna Jean Kraemer

   Anna Jean Kraemer, 79, a resident of Fairfield, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

    Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday prior to the Mass. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Anna was born July 23, 1945 in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of John R. and Helen M. (Vandevanter) Flanery. She married Paul Kraemer, August 7, 1965 in Guthrie Center, Iowa. 

    Anna worked with her husband, Paul, for 40 years in their business, Electronic Specialties in Fairfield. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and bird watching with a cup of coffee. Anna loved visiting with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

    Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Paul; daughters, Renae (Brad) Benson of Cumming, Iowa and Christine (John) Einwalter of Manchester, Missouri; son, David (Staci) Kraemer of Fairfield; grandchildren, Shane, Morgan, Ethan, Julia, Madison, Abagale, Lauren, Katlin, and Makenzie.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Richard, Robert, and Dean.
