Barbara Lou Taylor

Barbara Lou Taylor age 77 of Fairfield, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

According to Barbara’s wishes her body was cremated.

A Private Memorial Service and burial of cremains will be at the Packwood Cemetery, with Pastor Phil Griffith officiating.

No public services are planned.

Barb was born August 29, 1939 in Packwood, IA to Lewis and Bessie (Davis) Davis. She married Stuart Taylor in 1957, and later divorced.

Barb was a lifelong resident of Fairfield. Barb was a homemaker. Her hobbies’ and interest included reading, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Barb is survived by her children, Vicki (Garth) Stacy, Richard (Deb) Taylor both of Fairfield, and Lynn (Warren) Coop of Des Moines, IA; 5 grandchildren, Lindsey Black, Jared Taylor, Chelsey Harris, Steven Taylor, Scott Taylor; two great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Geneva McWhirter, Doris Roland both of Burlington, IA, and Mary Chapuis of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Barbara was preceded by: her parents, Lewis and Bessie Davis; one son, Randy Taylor; two sisters and two brothers.
