Berdena Mae Bagby age 95, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield, IA.
No family visitation is planned.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, IA.
Memorials may be made to Stockport Methodist Church.

Berdena Mae Bagby was born April 7, 1912 to Frank and Fesstisena (Bonnet) Anderson . She married Chester Ellis Bagby on August 14, 1933 in Kahoka, MO. He died April 27, 1992.
Berdena lived all but the last 10 years in the Stockport / Birmingham area. She began teaching in one room school houses with a "Normal Teaching Permit". She continued her education by recieving a PHD from Parsons College, and then a Masters Degree in Music Education from the University Of Iowa. Berdena taught in the rural County school districts of Jefferson & Van Buren, and in Stockport, Keosauqua, Winfield, and Washington school districts.
Following retirement, Berdena was a substitute teacher for the Fairfield school district for several years. She was active as musical director for different productions in Keosauqua, and director of the Sweet Adeline group. Berdena gave piano and organ lessons, and was organist for Stockport Methodist Church in Stockort. Her memberships included the Stockport Saddle Club and the Southeast Iowa Antique Car Club for many years, as well as the LG Club of Stockport.
Berdena is survived by daughter in-law Ramona Bagby of Stockport, IA, four grandchildren and and their families: Becky Morrow, Rodney Bagby, Rolland Bagby, and Renee Van Rycke, as well as eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandsons.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, son Dean H. Bagby , brother Frank Anderson, sister Eva Wentworth, and one great granddaughter.
