Bert Lives Jester age 63, of Fairfield, passed away February 28, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Kilbourne Cemetery.Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 5, 2013 prior to the service at Behner Funeral Home.Memorials can be made to the family, cards and memorials can be sent to: 801 S. 7th St. Fairfield, Ia. 52556. Bert Lives Jester was born November 1, 1949 to Bert Vankirk and Anna Belle Wright Jester. He married Deborah Diane Pruden on November 26, 1976 at the Free Methodist Church in Fairfield.Bert was a lifelong resident of the Fairfield community. Over the years Bert has worked at Iowa D.O.T., Fairfield Water Department, NAPA auto parts, Wal-Mart, and last worked as a maintenance man for Logan Apartments. He was a member of Fairfield Eagles Lodge # 1927 and the Riverview Golf Club in Keosauqua, IA. Bert served in the US Navy during Vietnam, and had worked in the US Pentagon. Bert is survived by his wife Deborah Jester of Fairfield, Ia., 2 daughters and 1 son: Shon (Glen) Guerrero of Madera, CA. Jamie (Donald) Williams of Fairfield, Ia., and Bert Matthew Jester of Fairfield, Ia. 8 grandchildren, Brandon, and Aaron Taylor, Tristen, Trevor, and Samanatha Williams, Monica Stoltz, Abigail Jester, Kevin Howald.
