Betsy Ann Martin

Betsy Ann Martin, age 86, of Fairfield, Iowa passed away Monday, February 15, 2010.

Betsy requested that there be no memorials and no services. Her cremains will be buried at a later date.

Betsy was born December 3, 1923 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Ella Gatlin and Alexander McKay Fairly. She married Walter P. Martin on May 9, 1942 in Mississippi.

Betsy was a homemaker all of her life and she enjoyed traveling with her husband. Betsy was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Hugh) Causey and Betty J Sprouse, both of Bowling Green, Kentucky, one son, Walter R. Martin (Magda Ott) of Fairfield, seven grandchildren, Steven Sprouse, Shelby Sprouse, Gary Simmons, Michael Causey, Cathy Pioli, Dennis Causey and David Causey, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, A.T. and Mac Fairly and one son William P. Martin.
