Betty Jane Branam was born March 2, 1928 in Clay County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Walter L. and Mary J. (Burke) Branam.

Betty married Donald Leslie Branam in Paris, Illinois on August 2, 1946. They were the parents of two sons, Michael and David. Donald died August 28, 1978.

Betty lived over 36 years in the Fairfield community, with her previous residence in Paris, Illinois. She was the bookkeeper at Flamingo Lanes for 36 years and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Betty enjoyed her cats, gardening and was fond of growing cactus.

Surviving Betty are her sons; Michael "Mick" Branam and David and his wife Cynthia Branam, all of Fairfield, Iowa. Also surviving is her brother, Jerry Brand, of Pittsburgh, PA.

Preceding Betty in death are her parents, husband Donald and a brother, Merrill Brand.
