Betty Mae Lawson, age 85, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at University Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.
Services will be at the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Fairfield, Iowa at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2010 with Pastor Suzanne Swahn officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.
Family visitation will be Monday, January 18, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, Iowa.

Betty Mae Lawson was born August 31, 1924 to Harvey and Isabelle Wilson Louth in Batavia, Iowa. She married Robert A. Lawson, Sr. on February 20, 1944 in Fairfield, Iowa.
She was a seamstress for Fairfield Glove Company for 25 years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #1293, and Fairfield Square Dance Club.
Hobbies included: sewing, reading, cooking, playing cards, crossword puzzles, square dancing and spending time with family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lawson, Sr., one daughter, Carmalee (Kim) Manary of Conroe, TX and one son, Robert (Cathy) Lawson, Jr. of Fairfield, IA; three special friends: Ruthie Louth, Debbie (Ranard) Miller, and Cathy Giberson; three grandchildren Jacob, Jordan,and Ethan, and two brothers: Elmer (Florence) Louth of Fairfield, IA and Roy Louth of San Diego, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Cindy Lou Lawson and two sisters, Mildred Babcock and Erma Jeffrey.
