Beulah M. Blough, aged 90, former Fairfield resident, passed away April 12, 2006 at Iowa City Rehab Center in Iowa City, Iowa.

Memorial services were held 10:30 AM, Monday, May 1, 2006 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Her body has been cremated. Burial of her cremains were in Evergreen Cemetery following the service.

Beulah M. Blough was born August 23, 1915 near Libertyville, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Mercer) Stewart.. She graduated from Libertyville High School and married John D. Blough February 12, 1936. They were the parents of three children: Joyce, JoAnn and Bill. John passed away November 20, 1978.
Beulah was a devoted wife and mother. In addition to farming, she was also employed at Philco-Dexter, Universal Producing and Iowa Army Ammunition Ordinance Plant in Middletown. Beulah was a member of the First Methodist Church in Fairfield, as well as the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and pitch and traveling with the Senior Citizen's Travel Group. Beulah was fond of cats.
Beulah is survived by her children and their families. Joyce & Marvin Orte, JoAnn Deatsch and Bill Blough, all of Iowa City. Beulah is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, one daughter, Margaret and a brother, Kenneth Stewart.
