Bill Gene Franklin, age 51, of Fairfield, IA, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, December 8, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. B.B. Rail officiating. Burial will be at Fell Cemetery near Libertyville, IA.

Bill Gene Franklin was born November 20, 1957 in Williamsville, MO to Perry and Helen (Hardin) Franklin. He married Debra S. Manley in Monmouth, IL June 16,1985.

Bill was a life long resident of Fairfield. He was a self employed contractor for over 25 years. His hobbies include collecting railroad memorabilia and fishing. Bill attended Living Stones Fellowship Church.

Bill is survived by his wife Debra of Fairfield, two sons: Loran P. Franklin and William A. Franklin, both of Fairfield, IA; two sisters: Retha Bush of Fairfield, and Virginia England of Galesburg, IL.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lockie Gilbreath.
