Billy Bert Brobston, age 90 of New London, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 16, 2012.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Parker officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, Iowa.
Billy was born on July 28, 1922 in Birmingham, to Iliff and Grace Tweedy Brobston. He married Betty Nell Walton on August 4, 1941 in Lancaster, Missouri.
He served in WWII with the United States Army and while serving in European Theatre, was severely wounded in battle. He was a farmer for 70 years and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Farm Bureau, both of Fairfield.
Billy is survived by his wife: Betty, 4 children: Gary Lee Brobston of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, David Edward Brobston of Knoxville, Iowa, Billy Bert Brobston Jr. of Frankton, Indiana and Phillip Dee Brobston of New London, Iowa, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter: Nancy Sue Salsbury.
