Bonnie J. Bagby was born June 5, 1930 in Pleasant Plain, Iowa. She was the daughter of Raymond L. and Mabel (Wilhelm) Pickard, Sr.

Bonnie married Frank J. Bagby, Jr. at Woolson's Friends Church near Richland on October 16, 1948. They were the parents of Douglas, Daniel and Denise. Frank passed away April 19, 2004.

Bonnie lived all her life in the Fairfield community. She was a former director of the ASCS office in Jefferson County. Bonnie also worked for Louden's and in the Jefferson County Courthouse. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield and volunteered in the church office. Bonnie was a member of the Hanna Circle, JCH Auxiliary, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a former member of Friends of Fairfield Public Library.

Bonnie is survived by her children and their families; sons Douglas Bagby and wife Wanda of Fairfield, Daniel Bagby of Glenwood, IA and daughter, Denise Mineart and husband Dale of Fairfield. Bonnie was grandmother to Kari Haislet and her husband Mike, Kirk Bagby and his wife Andrea, Matthew Mineart and his wife Jennifer and Derek Mineart. Bonnie was great-grandmother to three.

Surviving brothers are Raymond Pickard of Mt. Pleasant, Ronald Pickard of Fairfield, Edwin Pickard of Batavia, Donald Pickard of Brighton and Gary Pickard of Kirksville, MO.

Preceding Bonnie in death are her parents, her husband Frank, sister Roberta Gowey and and infant sister, Mary Catherine.
