Bonnie Pearl Campbell

Bonnie P. Campbell, age 81, formerly of Fairfield and Libertyville, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008, in Linden, IA.

Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, December 26, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. Rev. Dave Peterson will officiate, and interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Bonnie Pearl Campbell was born June 18, 1927 in Morning Sun, IA to Pearl and Emma (Bolon) Cornick. She was united in marriage with John Campbell, Jr April 12, 1944.

Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother. She was employed for many years at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant in Middletown, IA as a forklift driver. She loved traveling to visit family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bonnie enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, playing slot machines and listening to Elvis and Ricky Van Shelton.

She is survived by her children and their families: Patricia Ann Campbell, Michael Cornick Campbell, Pamela Jean Basquin; grandchildren: JoAnn Elizabeth Sprague, Gary Lee Rappenecker, Dennis Wayne Rappenecker, Ricky Lee Campbell, Christopher Chad Campbell, Anthony William Basquin, Lennie Jo Sheets, Jennifer Lyn Basquin, and nine great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Lela Cornick, Gerald Cornick, Dwight Cornick, and Ebb Cornick.
