C. Joan Hostetler

C. Joan Hostetler, 82, of 16 Goldfinch Lane, Forsyth, Missouri, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her home.

Graveside services will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 with Pastor Stacy Grau officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, at Behner Funeral Home.

Joan was born January 1, 1930, in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of William and E. Vivian Shelton. She attended Fairfield schools and married Paul Hostetler on January 23, 1948. Joan worked as a certified nursing assistant at Jefferson County Hospital for over thirty years, retiring in December 1992. At that time she retired near Branson, Missouri, to enjoy warmer weather, country music, and her pastimes of reading and knitting.

Surviving are her children and their families: Cheryl and Bil Fye of Branson, MO; Terry and Brenda Hostetler of Douds, IA, and their children Jason of Douds and Krystle (Tyler) Lorigan of Shawnee, KS; and Doug and Candy Hostetler of Branson, MO.

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
