Carol Louise Haas

Carol Haas, age 49, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Fairfield. President Dan Butcher officiated. Interment will followed the service in Evergreen Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.

Carol Louise Haas was born May 23, 1957 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Paul and Patricia (Tite) Sechrist. Carol graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, OH with the Class of 1975. She continued her education at Kent State and Indiana University in Gary, IN, majoring in communications. Carol served an LDS mission in Sacramento, CA.

Carol was united in marriage with Mitch Haas in Keosauqua, IA on September 28, 1988. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Fairfield. Carol was the lead in several play performances and was noted for her angelic singing voice. She was a friend to all she met.

Carol is survived by her husband, Mitch, of Fairfield, her parents Paul and Patricia of Chesterton, IN, and two sisters and one brother: Barbara Cavender of Cleveland Heights, OH, Linda Bottom of Lincoln, IL, and George Sechrist of Littleton, CO.
