Caroline Ruth Daugherty

Caroline Ruth Daugherty, age 97 passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at her home in Rural Mt Pleasant.

There will be no visitation. Graveside Service will be held 10:30 am Monday, May 20, 2013 at Green Glade Cemetery, Farmington, IA officiated by Sheila Smith.

Caroline was born December 20, 1915 to Charles Thomas and Edna Bell Wilkins in Akron, CO. She married Franklin Harrison Daugherty, April 27, 1935 in Memphis MO. He died June 6, 1954.

She went to Troy High School. She worked for 26 years as an AID at Mental Health, Mt Pleasant. She enjoyed working in her garden, quilting, Birds, and flowers.

She is survived by her 2 children: Isabelle Willey of Mt Pleasant and Donna Daugherty of Batavia;10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren ;and 27 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Cora Mae Davis of Moulton, IA, Mary Brooks of Harlan, IA and Gladys Shelton of Hot Springs, AR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 son: Johnny Daugherty, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
