Charles K. Allender

Charles K. Allender, age 85, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Per his request, there will be no service and his body has been cremated.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ICU Unit of the University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Cards and memorials can be sent to 1204 S. 7th Street Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Charles was born December 21, 1926 in Rushville, Illinois to Raymond and Opal Wilson Allender. He married Georgette Toison.

He was self-employed as a barber on Church Street in Ottumwa.

Charles is survived by his wife Georgette, of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
