Charles Lincoln Hunt

Charles L. Hunt, age 79 of Fairfield passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Nate Nims officiating. Graveside Rites will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Graham Cemetery in Graham, Missouri.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home.

Charles was born in Biglow, Missouri on February 17, 1932 to Harry and Evelyn Dozier Hunt. He married Phyllis Jean Crain on June 7, 1953 in Graham, Missouri.

He had served in the US Army and National Guard and was a veteran of the Korean War. Charles had worked for ANR Natural Gas Pipeline Co. in Birmingham, Iowa as a Superintendent for 36 years.

Charles is survived by his wife: Jean, 2 children: Lara Henry of Cleveland, Georgia and Randy (Stacey) Hunt of Kingsville, Missouri, 4 grandchildren: Cherah Curtis, Skylen Patfield, Brennan Lakey and Tristan Lakey, 3 great grandchildren and 2 siblings: Jeanne (Bob) Holmquist of Lakewood, Colorado and Vona Edwards of Savannah, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister in infancy.
