Charles Fredrick Neff

August 28, 1915 — January 7, 2005

Charles F. Neff was born to Fredrick and Clara Wood Neff in Wayland, Iowa on August 28, 1915. He married June Rosemond Dempsey on October 22, 1938, in Kahoka, Missouri. They were the parents of two daughters.

Mr. Neff lived most of his life in Fairfield. He was employed by the CCC Program, Louden Company, and an electrician for the ANR Pipeline, from which he retired in 1978. Mr. Neff enjoyed gardening during his retirement.

Mr. Neff was a deacon of the First Christian Church in Fairfield. He sang in the choir and was a member of Fairfield Clinton Masonic Lodge AF & AM #15 .

Charles Neff is survived by his wife, June, two daughters and their families: Kathy Neff of Olatha, KS, and Judy (Eugene) Snyder of Keosauqua, IA, two grandchildren; Dena Snyder of Las Vegas, NV and Kim (Dale) Hornberg of Keosauqua, IA, three great-grandchildren; Jesse Snyder and Zach & Tanner Hornberg. He is also survived by one sister; Liz Wenger of Salina, KS.

Mr. Neff was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Jean Goff and one in infancy.

Funeral services for Charles Fredrick Neff were held 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa, with Rev. Connie Markle officiating.
