Cheryl Joan Griffin

Cheryl Joan Griffin, age 67, passed away July 7, 2014 at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, July 11, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Memorial Lawn with Military rites.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Friday, July 11, 2014 prior to the service at Behner Funeral Home.

Cheryl was born January 24, 1947 to Joe and Dorothy (Nichols) Srout. She married Danny Ray Griffin April 24, 1982 in Fairfield, IA. He passed away September 25, 1987.

She lived in the Fairfield area all her life. She was very proud to have served in the US Army. Cheryl worked at Ordinance Plant, Excel in Ottumwa and did house cleaning. She loved spending time with her dogs and being with friends. Cheryl liked going to garage sales and she collected horses.

Cheryl is survived by cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandparents.
