Cheryl Lee Sibley, age 61, of Fairfield, IA, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. The body will be cremated.

Cheryl Lee Sibley was born November 8, 1947 to Kenneth E. and Lelia (Kutcher )Seymour in Toledo, OH. She married Chuck Sibley on April 17, 1970 in Toledo.

Cheryl has lived in the Fairfield area since 2001. She was the head cook at Senior citizen center in Fairfield. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Chuck Sibley of Fairfield, and her mother Leila Mlynarek, also of Fairfield; and her children and their families: Patricia (Travis) Phillips-Steigerwald of Fairfield, Mattew (Jamie) Sibley of Burlington, IA, Maggie (Scott) Carlton of Las Vegas, NV, and David (Joelene) Sibley of Peoria, IL. Cheryl was blessed with eight grandchildren. Survivors include siblings: Gail (Don) Honisko of Toledo, OH, John (Luann) Seymour of Dundee, MI, Patricia (Mike) Williams of Delta, OH, and David (Patty) Seymour of Jacksonville, FL.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Seymour.
