Christopher “Chris” Lynn Freeman, age 56 of Washington, IL, passed away August 31, 2014 in Fairfield, IA.

A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am, Friday, September 5, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Rebecca Weltman. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends will be 10:00 am, Friday, September 5, 2014 prior to the Celebration of Life at Behner Funeral Home.

Christopher was born August 2, 1958 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, Iowa to John Richard (Dick) and Frances (Fran) A (Brown)Freeman. He married Gail Chipley August 17, 1984, she survives.

He graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1977 and Iowa Western College. Chris worked at Rockwell Collins as an Electronic Tech. for 20 years. He later moved to Washington, IL. Chris loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. Chris attended Washington Presbyterian Church and was affiliated with Ducks Unlimited.

Chris is survived by his children, Justin Freeman of Naperville, IL, Kristina Freeman of Cedar Rapids, IA and Kellie Freeman of Denver, CO; his parents, Dick and Fran Freeman of Washington, IL; 2 brothers, Todd (Terri) Freeman of Anamosa, IA, Eric (Kristin) Freeman of Washington, IL; 1 sister, Lisa (Mark) Peiffer of Washington, IL; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Kirk and Greg; Grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Brown and John and Helen Freeman; and Aunt Sue Philp.
