Clifford Thomas Drummey

Clifford T. Drummey, age 88, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Behner Funeral Home with Father Stephen C. Page officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitaion for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home.

Clifford was born in Cedar Rapids on October 14, 1922 to George and Ada Mae Sheppard Drummey. He married Geraldine Phillips on December 5, 1943 in Cedar Rapids.

He served in the South Pacific for 2 years with the U.S. Army Air Force in WWII, worked for the Cedar Rapids Waterworks from 1947-1963 and then retired in 1988, from the Water Department in Fairfield, as General Superintendant, where he had worked since 1963. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, clarinet music and bowling.

Clifford is survived by his wife, 1 daughter: Alicia (Richard) Tygart of Fairfield, 1 son: Douglas (Haifa) Drummey of Council Bluffs, 7 grandcildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter: Kathleen Penrod and 1 brother: George William Drummey.
