Clifton Neal Meck was born May 5, 1922, the son of Raymond Henry and Harriet Jane Lyon Meck. He married Geneva C. Spanier Yoder on November 29, 1952 in Kahoka, Missouri.

Clifton served in the United States Coast Guard. He lived in the Birmingham area from 1922 to 1947, when he moved to his current residence in Jefferson County. Clifton enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He had a quirky sense of humor and lived to laugh and have a good time. Clifton retired from farming in 1983.

Surviving Clifton is his wife, Geneva, two sons: James Yoder of Thailand, Donald Ray & Betty Yoder of Diamond Bar, CA and a daughter, Shirley Marie & Harold Whitmer of Peoria, IL. Clifton was grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Leona Anderson Holder of Des Moines, IA.

Predeceasing Clifton are his parents, one grandson, Mark Yoder and sis brothers: Lyle, Bill, Donald, Harold, Joe, and Dale Meck.
