Cora Bessie Duncan

Cora Bessie Duncan, age 75, of Libertyville passed away August 5, 2019 at her home.

Visitation for family & friends will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2019 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Philip Cressey Jr. officiating with burial following at Brethren Cemetery, Libertyville.

Memorials may be made to the family and mailed to David Duncan, 510 West Maple, Libertyville, IA 52567.

Cora was born August 11, 1943, to Roscoe and Ruby (Branscomb) Stewart in Putman County, MO.  She married David Duncan May 28, 1961, in Worthington, MO.

Cora lived most of her life in the Fairfield and Libertyville area.  She had her own in-home day care for several years.  Some of Cora’s interests were quilting, reading and she loved to travel.  Most important to her was spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Cora was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

She will be missed by her husband of 58 years David; 3 daughters, Terry (Tim) Dixon and Nancy (David) Oliver both of Fairfield and Linda (Gordon) Brown of Montrose; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Keith and Delbert Stewart.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Ruby; two sons, Dave Jr. and Philip; 3 brothers, Emil, Duane and James; and one sister, Mayme Collis.
