Cory W Hervey

Cory Willard Hervey age 47 of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022, at his home.

Visitation for family & friends will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home.  Funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.  Private family burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or Noah’s Arc and mailed to 15734 Hwy 1 Birmingham, Iowa 52535.

Cory was born October 23, 1975, to Steven “Steve” and Carol (McWhirter) Hervey in Fairfield.

He worked at Hervey Implement until they closed and then started working at Lick Creek Enterprises in Birmingham.  He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, being outside arrowhead hunting and rock hunting.  Some of Cory’s inside interests was watching TV and listening to music.

He will be missed by his mom, Carol Hervey of Birmingham; two sisters, Devon (Craig) Headley of Birmingham and Carey (Travis Meierotto) of Bonaparte; nieces and nephews, Brian Hervey, Autumn Canaday, Brayden Canaday, Bailey Headley, Braxton Headley and Brooklyn Headley; aunts, uncles and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilbur & Dora McWhirter, Florence Hervey, Byron Hervey; his father, Steven Hervey; aunt and uncles, Ronnie McWhirter, Sheryl Lyon and Bruce Mosena.
