Dale Junior Boese

Dale Junior Boese, age 83, of Washington, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Washington Care Center.

Following his wishes, his body will be cremated. No visitation or services are planned.

Dale Junior Boese was born May 7, 1924 in Wayland, IA, the son of Jacob "Jake" and Ocie (Black) Boese. He was united in marriage with Marian Loretta Horn on May 28, 1951 in Washington, IA. Dale was a laborer for Perfax farming for 14 years, and was a member of the Washington and Mt. Pleasant communities during his life.

Dale is survived by his wife, Marian of Washington, and his children and their families: son Alan Boese of Lockridge, IA, and step-children; Gary Phillips of Selma, IA, Paula Nixon of Washington, IA, and Pamela Jackson, also of Washington. He has four grandchildren: Tracy Nixon, Michelle Nixon, Zachery Boese, and Shayla Boese , as well as two great-grandchildren; Destry Farris, and Caden Funkhouser.

Survivors include two sisters: Dorothy Boese of Washington, and Frances Boese of Fairfield, IA.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters: Alfred, Arthur, and Howard Boese, and Mildred Boese and Edith Nordyke.
