FUNERAL SERVICES WERE BE HELD 1:00 PM, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2005 AT BEHNER FUNERAL HOME IN FAIRFIELD. REV. NORMAN CHANNEL OFFICIATED, WITH BURIAL FOLLOWING IN EVERGREEN CEMETERY.

Dale S. McMillan was born July 12, 1916 in Milton, Iowa, the son of Charles and Effie (Henry) McMillan. He married Martha Elizabeth Drake on January 10, 1952 in Keosauqua, Iowa. They were the parents of four children, Diana, Sherman, Dale Charles and Susan Marie. Martha passed away April 6, 1974.

Dale was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a member of the Iowa National Guard.

Dale and Martha lived in Birmingham for a time before moving to Fairfield. He was employed in the shipping department at the Dexter Company. Dale was a member of the Free Methoist Church in Fairfield and V.F.W. Post #2271.

Survivors include his daughter, Diana Leafgreen-Jones and her husband, Greg of Atlanta, Georgia. Dale was grandfather to Heather Bradley, also of Atlanta and he was great-grandfather to Sydney and Morgan. Dale is also survived by a sister, Edith Yeager of Columbia, Tennessee and a brother, Neil McMillan of Mark, Illinois.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Martha, a son, Sherman Leafgreen and 2 infant children, Dale Charles and Susan Marie and one sister, Georgia Davis.
