Daniel Shane Bagby

Daniel Shane Bagby, age 52, of Glenwood, IA, passed away after a short illness Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, NE.

Friends may pay their condolences to the family from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Dave Peterson at 1:30 PM. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Daniel Shane Bagby was born in Fairfield, IA February 20, 1956, the son of Frank J. and Bonnie (Pickard) Bagby, Jr. He attended Smith Warren School in Ottumwa, IA, and resided at Woodhaven Christian Home in Columbia, MO from 1964-1966. He had resided at Glenwood Resource Center in Glenwood, IA from 1966 until his death. Daniel enjoyed trains, dogs and listening to music.

Daniel is survived by his brother and sister and their families: Douglas and Wanda Bagby, and Denise and Dale Mineart, both of Fairfield, one niece, three nephews, nine great-nieces and -nephews, aunts, uncles, and his extended family at Glenwood House 468.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
