Darlene Felgar, age 82 of Fairfield, Iowa passed away December 19, 2012 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, December 24, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, Fairfield, Iowa with Pastors Mark Haverland and Nate Nims officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Darlene Felgar was born May 26, 1930 to Seth Harryman and Theo Doshia Ayers Harryman in Van Buren County. She married Edd Felgar on February 26, 1956 in Fairfield.
Darlene lived on the Walton Road at the edge of Fairfield her entire married life. She graduated from Douds-Leando High School with the Class of 1947. She was employed at the Iowa State Bank and Trust Company for 44 years. She was a member of the Fairfield Women's Club and the Garden Department, the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary and the Red Hat Ladies. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her yard and garden for many years.
She was quite active in volunteering at the Bargain Box and the Jefferson County Health Center and assisted her husband for many years volunteering in installing life lines in many homes for the hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist in Fairfield.
She and Edd enjoyed traveling and also took many bank sponsored trips with the Heritage Club and the Libertyville Travelers. They also enjoyed spending many winters in the Mesa, Arizona area.
She is survived by her husband and several nieces and nephews.
Darlene is preceded by three sisters: Reva Dale, Madoma Burford, and Vivian Crew.
