A graveside memorial service was held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. Words of comfort were spoken by Rodney Robinson.

Darlene Louise Pratt was born September 13, 1932 in Stockport, IA. She was the daughter of Frank Ernest and Eva Mae (Barnett) Marshall. Darlene graduated from Libertyville High School in 1950 and was a longtime resident of the Stockport and Fairfield communities.

Darlene was married to Louis Fred Pratt on June 5, 1955 at the First Christian Church in Fairfield. They were the parents of four children, Holly, Doug, Peggy and Gayle.

Darlene was employed at the Stockport Locker and the White T Grocery. She retired to Keosauqua after working more than 10 years at the Jefferson County Hospital as a cook.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Louis Fred Pratt of Keosauqua and her children and their families; Holly Pratt of St. Louis, MO, Doug and wife Teri Pratt of DeWitt, IA, Peggy and husband Tony Stevens of Hillsboro, IA and Gayle and husband Kevin Hervy of Keosauqua, IA. Surviving siblings are brother Dean Marshall of Packwood, IA and sister Donna Wheeler of Bella Vista, AR.

Darlene was grandmother to Joey Aguirre, Amy Pratt, Andy Pratt, Marshall Stevens, Louis Stevens, Kyle Hervey, Erin Hervey, Jordan Hervey and Molly Hervey.

Preceding Darlene in death are her parents, two grandchildren, Tildon and Adeline, brother Stanley Marshall and sister Marjorie Marshall.
