Delilah Mae Moore

Delilah Mae Moore, age 62 of Fairfield, passed away May 16, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, May 20, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home officiated by Danny Cary. Her body will be cremated following the service. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Campbell's Cemetery, Milan, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family. Cards and memorials can be sent to Katrina Moore, 702 W Washington Ave., Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Delilah was born February 4, 1951 to Jennings W. Hostetter Sr. and Lillian L. White in Fairfield, Iowa. She Married Daniel Moore in 1969 and they later divorced.

She worked for 20 years as a CNA and 6 years as a truck driver. She has lived in Fairfield her entire life.

Delilah loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She always loved family gatherings. She liked to cook and bake pies. She loved cats and horses. She liked watching Chuck Norris movies and listening to oldies music. She would like to have enjoyed more years as an over-the-road truck driver.

Delilah is survived by her daughters: Mary (David) Gordy of Batavia, IA and Katrina Moore of Fairfield, IA; 4 Grandchildren: Dylan Gordy, Desiray Gordy, Amy Gordy and Kole Mehring; 3 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother: Jennings (Joyce) Hostetter of Fairfield, IA; 6 sisters: Diana Metz of Fairfield, IA, Barbara Hatton of Fairfield, IA, Becky Calcote of Columbia MO, Cindy (Randy) Nichols of Lockridge, IA, Jackie (Dale) Kershaw of Kalona, IL and Christy (Kelvin) Tague of Branson, MO. ,several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Roberta Ruth.
