Dell A. Robinson, 92, of Fairfield, IA, passed away at Nelson Nursing Home Sunday, March 26, 2006.

Following Dell's wishes, his body has been cremated.

Graveside memorial services were held 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Pastor Danny Cary officiated.

Dell A. Robinson was born December 20, 1913 in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of Charles and Clara Annette (Anderson) Robinson. Dell lived all his life in the Fairfield community, graduating from FHS in 1933. Dell was a US Army Veteran of WWII, serving in France.

Dell married Dorothy Louise Bucher on March 18, 1941. They were the parents of Rosemary, Sandra and John. Dorothy passed away October 13, 1985. Dell married LaCene Ferrel in 1992 and they divorced in 1996.

Dell was a plumber for Robinson's Plumbing. After his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and quilting. Dell was the oldest member of B.P.O.E. #1192 in Fairfield. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield, as well as a 50-year Mason of Fairfield Clinton Masonic Lodge AF & AM #15.

Dell is survived by his children and their families: Rosemary Trehy of Hot Springs Village, AR, Sandra Kehoe of Cheshire, CT, and John Robinson of Fairfield, IA. Dell was grandfather to six grandchildren (: Kimberly Trehy, Stephanie Donahue, Steven Kehoe, Matthew Robinson, Adam Robinson and Nicole Spalla) Dell had 10 great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a brother, Rollin Robinson of Mesa, AZ and a sister, Neomi Schaefer of Fairfield, IA.

Dell was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy, sister Hazel Salts and two brothers: Fred and Harry.
