Diana Lynn Ellis

Diana L. Ellis, formerly of Fairfield, entered new life April 6, 2009 at the Muscatine Care Center, Muscatine, IA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 2, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church, 100 S. Main Street, Fairfield, IA.

Diana was born November 13, 1965, the daughter of David C. and C. Louise Wilson Ellis in Corning, IA. She graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 1984. Diana was diagnosed with epilepsy at age eight and suffered from partially controlled seizure activity all her life. She was unable to find gainful employment and resided in several group homes in her quest for meaningful employment and personal independence.

Diana moved to the Muscatine Care Center in 2004 for 24 hour monitored care. She enjoyed many of the activities offered by the Care Center and participated in all of them. She enjoyed being the youngest person in the facility and was well liked by all she met.

Diana was diagnosed with cancer of the liver in early 2006. She was able to overcome the illness for three years before her time came to enter the gates of Heaven.

Diana is survived by her parents, her sister Susan Juhl (Matthew) and nephews Alexander and Alaric of rural Springville, IN, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Her paternal grandmother is her only surviving grandparent.
