Donald Edward Carlson

Donald Edward Carlson, 72, a resident of Glendale, Arizona, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 in Fairfield.

 There will be no funeral services held at this time, however, there will be an open house at Emer and Barb’s for family and friends to pay their respects. Memorials may be made to the family and sent to Behner Funeral Home, 203 S. Main St. Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

 Don was born February 16, 1952 in Fairfield, the son of Walter and Dema (Marrow) Carlson. He was married to Teri Robinson and while they later divorced, they remained close friends. 

 Don loved riding his motorcycle and traveling the country with his brother, Emer, but most of all, he loved his grandchildren.

 Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Dawnell (Troy) Douglas of Glendale, Arizona and Shannon (Brandon) Garrison of Goodyear, Arizona; four grandchildren, Christen, Ryan, Christopher, and Daniel; brothers, Emer (Barb) Carlson, Wayne (Tracy) Carlson, and Harold (Rene) Carlson, and many other friends and relatives in Fairfield. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, and his several siblings.
