Donald Wayne Johnston

Donald Wayne Johnston, age 84, of Fairfield, passed away October 22, 2010 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

A memorial service with military rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home, with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Howard Grove Cemetery or Hospice Compassus and sent to 2096 Libertyville Road Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Donald was born in Van Buren County, on June 25, 1926, to Ralph and Ava Clark Johnston. He married Doris Beauchamp on June 8, 1947 at the Christian Parsonage.

Donald is survived by his wife, 4 children: Ronald (Janice) Johnston of Wapello, Iowa, Delores (John) Walker of Hedrick, Iowa, Patricia (Robert) Palmquist of Faribault, Minnesota and Jerry Johnston of Washington, Iowa, 6 grandchildren: Craig Johnston, Melissa Andries, Christine Klug, Gerard Worley Jr., Jarred Johnston and Nickolaus Palmquist, 8 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and 1 brother: Charles Johnston of Wickenburg, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Kenneth and Wesley Johnston.
