Donald R. Milholin, 84, died Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Danville Care Center in Danville, Iowa. His body was donated to medical research.
MEMORIAL SERVICES WERE BE HELD AT 6:30 PM, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2005 AT THE FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH IN FAIRFIELD. PASTOR MARVIN ROBECK OFFICIATED.
Burial of his cremains will be at a later date.

Donald R. Milholin was born December 22, 1920 in Parnell, Iowa, the son of Richard Frank and Elsie Josephine (Franklin) Milholin. He attended Muscatine High School and one year of Muscatine Junior College. Don was a US Navy veteran and served during WWII.
He married Mary Virginia Funk in Muscatine, Iowa on July 3, 1949. They were the parents of three children: Pamela, Judi and "D.R."
Don and Mary moved to Fairfield in 1952 where he spent over 40 years as a contractor and real estate broker and the owner of Milholin Real Estate. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Men's Group, Fairfield Clinton Masonic Lodge AF&AM #634, Fairfield American Legion Post #47, Southeast Iowa Board of Realtors, Fairfield MLS, Multiple Listing Association and the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, daughters Pamela Robinson of Danville, Iowa, Judi Hipp and her husband Doug of Yuma, AZ and son Donald R "D.R" and wife Kristi. Don was grandfather to 9 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
