Donna Simons

Donna Simons, age 73, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Rev. Howard Innis will officiate. No visitation is planned. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.

Donna Simons was born May 21, 1934 in Richland, IA to Luther and Marie (McConnell) Reighard. She lived most of her life in Jefferson County, and was united in marriage with Kenneth James Simons in Fairfield on April 9, 1951. They are the parents of two children: Kenneth and Connie.

Donna was a devoted wife and mother. She was a lifetime restaurant employee and owned the Family Cafe.

Surviving Donna is her husband, Kenneth of Fairfield, and their children and families: Kenneth R. Simons and wife Connie of Fairfield, and Connie Griffin and husband Bob, also of Fairfield. Donna was blessed with four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Survivors include a brother and a sister: Phyllis Klett and Ronald Reighard, both of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
