Donovan L. Stevens

Donovan L. Stevens, age 81 passed away Saturday July 23, 2011 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield, Iowa.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 27, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Ia. Cremation to follow visitation. Burial of cremains at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family and sent to 301 S. Walnut St. Richland, Iowa 52585.

Donovan L. Stevens was born November 10, 1929 to Kenneth and Gladys Tomkins Stevens. He married Luella Dorothy and later divorced, He then married Shirley Woods and later divorced, Donovan married Dorothy Yount on November 23, 1979 and she survives.

Donovan has lived in Richland sice 2004, with previous residence in Fairfield. He worked as a molder for Iowa Mallabe Iron works, and later as Security guard for Dumors office and furniture. His hobbies include NRA, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served in the National Guard for 4 years.

Donovan is survived by his wife Dorothy Stevens of Richland, Iowa, his children and spouses, Gary (Denise) Stevens of Fairfield, Ia., Don (Rita) Stevens of Batavia, Connie Woodson of Birmingham, Ia., Carol (Jesse) Holder of Fairfield, Ia., Bob (Geri) Stevens of Batavia, Ia., Billy Stevens of Fairfield, Ia., Jeff ( Renee) Stevens of Fairfield, Ia., Tina Sanderson of Mt. Pleasant, Ia., Willie (Emily) Stevens of Richland, Ia., two stepsons, Tim Scott of Temple,Tx., James Scott of Richland, Ia., 36 grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.

Donovan was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandchild, 1 great grandchild, 1 step brother Walt Cowan, 1 Uncle Walter Hancock, and 2 Aunts.
