Doris Darlene Schilb, age 76 of Fairfield, passed away October 29, 2013, at Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Jessica Rockhold Gaul officiating. Burial will be at Spencer Cemetery, NE of Stockport, Iowa.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, November 1, 2013, at Behner Funeral Home.

Doris Darlene Schilb was born November 22, 1936, to Henry Warren and Waunita Maxine (Loving) Smith in Stockport, Iowa. January 1, 1958, she married Lester Roy Schilb in Burlington, Iowa. He passed away June 9, 2005.

Doris was raised and lived most of her life in Jefferson County. She was a homemaker and sold Amway and Tupperware. In Doris's spare time she enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing, and watching baseball and car racing. She belonged to the Northside Strippers, Golden Threads, Hawkeye Heritage Quilters' Guild and Iowa Feed Sack Club.

Survivors include 2 sons; Steven D. (Julie) Smith of Agency, Iowa and Jeffrey L. (Kimberly) Schilb of Birmingham, IA, 3 daughters; Glenda R. White of Fairfield, IA, Linda K. Hammes of Carrizozo, NM and Roxie S. Brown of Auburndale, FL., 13 grandchildren; Jake (Chrissy) Williams, Erin (Ryan) Williams, Nicholas Owens, Wendy Schilb, Samuel Schilb, Leslie Powell, Matthew Hammes, Jonathan Hammes, Eric Hammes, David White, Steven Brown Jr., Angela Struble, Derek Woodman, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers; Richard H. Smith, Roxie E. Smith and Roger D. Smith, and many nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 1 brother, Raymond N. Smith.
