Graveside services was held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield with Rev. James Wotherspoon officiating.

Doris M. Turner was born in Bigtimber, Montana on January 18, 1921, the daughter of Walter and Grace A. (Rider) Hanks. Doris married Harold L. Turner on April 29, 1939 in Memphis, MO. Harold passed away October 4, 1977. They were the parents of 5 sons, James, John, William, Robert, and Dick.
Doris was employed as a Nurses' Aid at Jefferson County Hospital for 13 years and retired in 1983. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and needlework. Doris also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Doris is survived by her children and their families: James and his wife Mary of Ottumwa, IA, John and his wife Barbara of Colorado Springs, CO, William and his wife Marilyn of Fairfield, IA and Robert and his wife Cheri of Waukon, IA. Doris was grandmother to 19 grandchildren, numerous greatgrandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren.
Predeceasing Doris are her parents, husband Harold, one son, Dick, a sister, Gladys Mullikin and a brother, Chester M. Hanks.
