Doris Jean Weller

Doris Weller, age 83 of Fairfield, IA, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

The Rosary will be recited at 4:00 Pm, Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA. Visitation with the family will be held from 4:30 to 6:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, December 21, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, IA, with Rev. Fr. Stephen Page officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the St. Mary Church Building Fund or the Doug Johnson Dialysis Center in lieu of flowers. Cards and memorials may be sent c/o:

Mrs. Weller was born December 27, 1925 in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Don and Maude (Richardson) Clifford. She was a 1944 graduate of Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia. She married Charles B. Weller, Jr on June 25, 1947 in Sedalia. They moved to Fairfield in 1957.

Mrs. Weller was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Bridge for many years and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Charles, of Parkview Care Center, and her children and their families: sons; Dale and Michael of Omaha, NE, and daughter Linda Reinier and husband Vern of Fairfield. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. Survivors include brothers-and sisters-in-law Don and Madeline Weller of Sedalia, MO, and Don and Mary Jo Bellmer of Camdenton, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son James S. Weller and brother Don Clifford .
