Dorothy Joann Hicks Campbell, age 70, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, IA.

Funeral services were conducted 1:00 PM, Friday, April 27, 2007 at Suburban Heights Baptist Church in Fairfield with Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family requests memorials made in lieu of flowers to suburban Heights Baptist Church.

Dorothy Joann Hicks-Campbell was born March 19, 1937 in Fairfield to William and Dema (Morrow) Schultz. She was a lifetime resident of the Fairfield community.

Joann was united in marriage with Rex R. Hicks on December 13, 1952. He passed away October 9, 1988. Joann married Dustin Campbell on July 19, 2003 in Fairfield.

Joann was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker, and was a member of Suburban Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Joann is survived by her husband, Dustin Campbell of Fairfield, and her children and their families: Calvin Hicks of Lindale, TX, Linda Sisson of Las Vegas, NV, and Daniel Hicks of Keokuk, IA. Joann has 10 grandchildren: Amanda, Cynthia, Rex, Calvin, Callie, Todd, Shad, Brandi, Derek, and Dustin, and six great-grandchidren.

Survivors include three sisters and four brothers: Darrel Schultz, Sandy Stanley, Susie Caulder, Donna Pohren, Emer Carlson, Wayne Carlson, and Harold Carlson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rex, two children: Rex Hicks and Cynthia Hicks, and three siblings: Bessie Still, Betty Fern Holt, and Bill Schultz.
